i used to be a member of 1 of the old school bands here in iloilo... sa experience ko lang, sadya man to sang time namon. waay ko kabalo subong pero i respect all genres.kung emo is the in thing today let them enjoy the music of their generation just like how we enjoyed the music of our time. i remember nga taga gig before, everybody knows everybody. we consider every band our brother band. amo na ka tight ang cammaraderie sang una. music is my life,maski wala nako gatukar i cannot go through the day with out listening to music. since i was a kid i listen to oldies, beatles, the lettermen, music from all genres... 20's,30's,40's,50's,60's,70's,80's even the glen miller band. so im pretty well educated when it comes to music.pero i played drums in a rap metal band before and when i decided to quit, i returned to being a listener. all i can say is that if youre currently active sa band scene, just enjoy what you do and do it well whether youre a cover band or playing originals. dont do something based on what other people are saying, if you play a song you play it because thats what you love to play whether its a cover song or an original compo. when i was young and active in the band scene, i feel the exact sentiments a lot of the people here feels right now. all i cared about is my band but when i got older i realized its not the world and i moved on but music is still in my heart. every now and then i still listen to deftones, slipknot etc... and reminisce the good ol days. but after i turn my music player off, the reality of this world comes back quick to remind me that there's things to be done and responsibilities to fulfill. TO ALL OF THOSE WHO ARE CURRENTLY ACTIVE RIGHT NOW,ENJOY AND SAVOR THE TIME YOU ARE ON THE STAGE. AND THOSE WHO COMMENT AND THINKS THEY KNOW IT ALL, PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR CURRENT SITUATION.YOU MIGHT ALREADY BE 30 YEARS OLD WITH NOTHING BUT HARDCORE STUFF ON YOUR MIND STILL LIVING UNDER YOUR PARENTS HOUSE,GO DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR LIFE.ITS THE YOUNG GENERATION'S TURN NOW, STEP ASIDE!
