How is the Iloilo music scene?

pero medyo may relevance ang post ni bobet ah. ga inamu na na ya ang scene sa iloilo subong? matukar ka ikaw mabayad. tni indi mag amu na.

Frankly speaking,the music scene here in iloilo is "amu man gyapon". Nothing else is new except the the music. No offense but majority of Iloilo based bands cannot be at par with the rest of the big boys in manila nor the other south-based bands. Anu gid bala ang gin-kalain sang banda diri,kumpara sa Manila or Cebu?

Some insights kung ngaa layo gd ang mga taga-iloilo sa iban...(in general ni ha)

1.band members do not take their craft/talent seriously(really seriously)
2.laban patisoy
3.they don't give a s#it on how they sound,basta pag distort kag lagbong,ok na
4.they rarely do ORIGINALS
5.they don't sound tight enough(kulang sa ensayo)
6.they don't tune their instruments(thoroughly)

to name a few.

Being a musician for 20 years and playing proffesionally for 15.I have followed(whenever i can) the music scene here in Iloilo since the New Wave days(mid 80s)and nothing has changed,just the music.

I hope you guys can do whatever it takes to uplift the music scene here at home.

cguro para lang sa mga ka-generation ko mga around the age of 18-28 na cguro ang most subong. who were there(sa 012?) around 2006. mahambal namon nga wala kami gawa nanamian sang scene subong kay cguro ang point of comparison namon ang pck days. when Ilonggos showed people around the philippines nga Ilonggos had something nga wala nila nabatian. may music kita nga mas una ta ya compared sa ila. mas orginal. made them think twice nga probinsyano mga tawu diri kag indi kacompete cla on national level. ang ariba ara sa wbob compilation. kg songs nila had regular airplay sa N107 kaagi man sa charts.


although unfair man nga pck lang icredit for the glory days sang scene kay damu-damu man iban nga local bands nga gapush original music around that time. ang kwatro kantos along with dow, 6425.. around that time man daan nagrelease cds. but cguro inspiring lang ang pck kay gindala gid daan nila (literally) ang ngalan sang Iloilo sa likod nila.





will Iloilo see another band as inspiring like them? for now.. frankly, senxa indi ko pa makita. we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed lang guro.

indi ko man kilala, this tagalog kid chose to buy a Point Click Kill cd over a Queso cd. and Queso is one of the biggest underground bands subong sa pinas.
