It's survival of the fittest...Diversion tears the music scene apart... Musicians are miles apart in mind, and there seems to be no hope...Underrated, Scorned, Stereotyped... Do we care or not...Wake up people. We are going down the drain.

2. My Smallville na imbis nga malantaw cla sng tukar2 teh makad2 na lng sa smallville kag mag pa cute

3. Ang Genre kag mga musicians subong including International or Local is a TOTAL CRAP!!!! wla gid ko my nanamian nga mga music sbng... P.S. except lng b sa dragonforce kag avenge seven fold to name a few

4. Mga organizers sng mga gig is the same dyapon, PROFIT lng gina panumdum...i think, unlike in the 90s

5. Mga old skool nga mga banda tak an na mag tukar kay AMO man dyapon ang Sitwasyun sng scene sng Iloilo,

Few musicians here in iloilo including SHOWBANDS my plano mag himo musicians guild.. ang plano para hindi ma oppressed mga musikero whether rock en roll nor bakya music tukar nila sadly daw wla pa man dyapon natabo asta sbng... kng gus2 nyu gid man ibalik ang rock scene and hindi mag drain, so diin na sbng ang guild la man nahimo but the point is, thats is one factor nga indi mag drain ang music culture dire kng gus2 nyu gid man e-maintain nga hindi ma drain is that making possible again to resurrect the guild.....

wanna make a change??? create your own songs ...distribute it everywhere except iloilo (probably bacolod will be better)... play as many gigs outside iloilo... become famous outside iloilo... then you might earn respect from peeps there... i've been to gigs there last year and kaluluoy gid honestly speaking...

... kay balan nu mga pare, most of the teenagers subong gusto na lang nila mag patawhay, gusto na lang nila i spoon feed sila. wala nila gina panumdom nga may potential sila mag mau nga musikero. abi nila asta dra na lang makaya nila... well mga pare, mga ilonggo artistic katama, wala lang na madiskubrehan sang mga kabataang ilonggo... i think one factor nga naga drain ang music scene sa iloilo its because sang katamaron. wala man kita may mahimo da kay ila na ya... hapos gid man i learn ang pc games kesa mag supra hehe.

Personally, reading this new thread about an old issue put a smile on my face... Not because na hikay ko or na suya.... But because im a bit happy that more people are starting to notice the downward spiral that our scene is in.

Now we come to the hard part... Thinking of a solution...


This forum was created out of a need to unite the segregated scene we have here in Iloilo. So use it... Voice out your opinion...

Grindhouse has been talking about this and planning on how we resurrect the already defunct scene sa iloilo...nag reach out na kami sa bacolod, and the guys from the otherside have agreed sa amun plano sa metal-scene...gina-tap namun ang cebu kag manila pero kulang gid ang gabulig samun... kun sa genre2x lang, syempre, ginapanindugan man namun ang metal... same goes man cguro sa iban na genre... cos' for one thing, we are aiming to place iloilo on the metal map just as ang iban na genre would be wanting to be heard man...we need each other's help ...

Now a days, tanan nga tawo busy na. so as musician, most of them, daw pautwasan na lang ang tukar, ndi man all of us careeron gid ang banda, coz we have our major responsibilities nga kinanglan ubrahon. And we know, diri sa Pilipinas, Suportahan ka lang kung san.o sikat kg my ngalan ka na. Pero As a starter? I dont think so. Budlay di katama ang music scene. so Sa makita ko most of musicians diri sa iloilo, (i include myself), Playing in a band makafulfill sang passion mo for a short while and for the min time, my palautwasan ka. Budlay if Ubrahon mo pangabuhi ang banda, daw for me its only temporary , just a libangan sometime kun ndi ka busy sa priorities mo. Sa banda ko makatukar lang kame, every after exams. 3 of us is nursing students, 1 gaubra na as a RN. So if you can see, budlay gd maghatag full time sa tukar.
