How is the Iloilo music scene?

Our scene is dying, no doubt about it kung ang mga banda mismo waay ubrahon.
Busy ang tanan cover, pa limpyo limpyo pana, ga gilinu2k sa doctors kung sin'o una ma jam. And all you will hear we songs nga puro malng cover. How disappointing to see this talents "WASTE TIME" sa mga mu ni nga bagay. Just what like Raymund Marisagan said " Kahit ilang cover songs meron ka kahit ga ano yan kahirap pero puro lahat cover wala kayong pupuntahan". which is F*cking right. Mga bands d ga cover Slipknot,Lamb,Incu,Slayer,etc. Imagine how hard those songs are kag ma sepra pa nila. Kag daw mas limpyo pa sila kumpara sa ral thing. Grabe na na nga talent ya. . We have been left out by smaller and larger cities pag abot sa music scene. And we guys here who are in the music sometimes has the Mentality nga hisaay.Mas mayo kami kanday ano. Mas bakod amon drummer gitarista. amu na budlay kung kaisa mag aproach sa isa ka banda coz you know may mga beef kamo against one another. I miss the old times. nga mag kadto ka gigs almots tanan nga banda nga ga 2kar may compo gd. Kanugon ang mga gn establish sang mga senior bands just to end up like this. Hopefully time will come nga ang mga songs naman sang illongo ang e cover sa iban nga bands. More power to the scene,

kun gastagnant tungod sa usually covers na lang usually gina tukar kag ginapatukar sa scene..then..

suggestion: sa mga gig organizers tani..sa mga upcoming gigs nyu bala..kindly require na matukar guid compo ang mga banda..bisan isa or duwa lang da ka songs..basta compo, bilib guid na yah..hehe
sa mga gatukar, maki old man or new sa scene..tani ubra pa kamu more compo..tas itukar nyu..ayush lang? hehe..wala na huya² ah..kita² man lang d..teh teh..waswas na? because we believe in yooh..aw ah..gogogo ah..yehehe

pra more compo, mas happy. yehey.

^^^ hehe sang buhi pa ang KUB prod mu gd na require namun... gling sbng wla na kay seaman na tanan.. whehehe..

As long as inde ma guba ang mentality nga "mas mayo kami mag tukar sang sa ila" inde man gihapon mag progress ang lokal nga eksena.

Let me state an example. After na patay lead guitarist namon sng una, our band tried to do a few more gigs before we called it quits even though it was awkward for us. At one such gig we were in, a friend of mine heard this lead guitarist from a band ( they were new during that time ) say, "ah ang rhythm guitarist sang _________. Inde man ina mayo mag guitara". Upon hearing what that guy said, our friends planned to jump him and put his lights out earlier as usual for that night. The only thing that prevented them was the fact that their vocalist was an acquaintance of ours and a fellow barfly.



To criticize is but ordinary. But to criticize for personal glorification just makes you an ass.


*For that "guitarist", cheers dude! That was a long time ago. Its all water under the bridge. But i still think youre an ass.

huo dw amu gid mna bla musikero sa iloilo. kapin pagid guro sang una. ginajudge gd kmu dyun based sa abilidad nyo. tni ijudge nlng bla ang banda nga gaenjoy the most. ang pinakasadya. tnan ta gru kaagi mn sa mga muna nga tawu. kmi kaagi bata plng nasuyaan na. mayu tni kung bata mn bla masuya cmu. but tigulang na. dw nami hambalon "ay nong ga-pog plng kmi ya kamu gatukar na, comparar nyo ya lawas nyo samon" hahaha

daw biskan sa diin man, maki sa music, art, or school scene.. may critic guid na yah..at times, some criticisms are constructive.. other times..haha..pun intended guid man kag full of sarcasm,..depende sa tawo kun panu ya ihandle. hehe..but if you love your art, then go fight fo it. wala may matabo kun play safe lang pirme.. dvah dvah? hehe

anyways... on the serious side... i'm pointing out sa gin hambal ni Robot, nga ti tigulang na sila, they should not compare themselves sa mga bata, i mean, mas damo na experience nila kag mas damo na na bal-an nila.. they do have the right mag criticize (sakto spelling??!?)... i think... basta ah.. daw amo na..

it falls on the taste and preference of the person making the comment. and for that comment to have weight, the critic should be credible enough for people to actually listen to what he/she has to say.


my two cents

daw wala man sang baskog nga banda di sa iloilo. sa bacolod sa cebu.sa manila. kay kung baskog na kamo, milyunaryu na kamo tani. kag la na kamo ga himo music. pulupanihol ka nalang bala. kag wala ka na problema. mu na ang baskog ya! inum nalang ta tuba.
