You thought it was going to be wild, right? No, not in a place like Crammers. For one thing, we had limited space; for another, it was a Spoken Word gig, not a night for poseurs and wannabes. We could have done it, though. As a performer, you go by what the crowd wants, and not what you want: The last thing we wanted to do was to put on a self-serving show.
Writers think a lot, that's why we indulge in long talks which is the beginning of rap, mind you (not your run of the mill gangstah gobbledygook). We couldn't afford to alienate our audience and make fools of them coz we want to belong. Kon mag ego trip man lang kami di na lang kami mag invite sang other "arttists" eh.
Well, kon artista ginapangita nyo, tan aw na lang kamo TV. I find it weird nga makadto ka tapos ma observe when may ara ka man gintago gali. So why don't you come out and share with it us. I think kon tuud nga artist ka may moral imperative ka nga mag contribute at least bisan sa higad balay mo na lang. Underground? Jeez, it's the information age, man! Duha lang ka tawo bal an ko derserving mag obra sina: si Thomas Pynchon kag JD Salinger. May K man na sila ya....
