I was browsing some channels on MIRC and this statement caught my attention…

<_]N[procs]_> yes. if ur listening to metal will u turn into metal? no so if ur listening to emo u are of course a human being. and music genres can never be people or a way of life.

<_]N[procs]_> theyre just kids victimized by corporate marketing..if ur depressed see a councilor or someone that knows how to treat it. emo music can never be a form of depression even though emo lyrics is emotionally driven.

<_]N[procs]_> no. its they're fashion, kids wear anything they want to wear but their's no such thing as emo fashion…lol

sometimes. ang music ta gadefine na saton as a whole. ga influence na sang tanan. kapin pa kung dako nga part sang kabuhi ta music. so for some if gapamati ka metal. it doesn't mean ma literally turn into metal ka. but ang sensibilities mo gka apektohan gid gyapon. iban nga metal gapalaba buhok. suksok all black outfits. or up to the extent for some black metallers, worship the devil (para maging authentic knu). like sang phenomena sa scandanavian countries sang 90s where in uso ang manunog sang simbahan. daw tripping para sa mga black metal teenagers hehe.. so kung afar. kung sa aton lang perspective. makahambal kita ginagu ukon minango. but ila na ya kagagohon. it may not be justifiable or logical para sa aton. teh anhun tna b.

sakon. cguro culture mn gainfluence sang music. but damu man nga cultures nagstart halin sa music.. punk, goth, metal, hip hop, reggae.. so its inevitable nga ang emo which is grabe ka close sa hearts (pun intended haha) sang mga kids, maging a culture man. with lyrics from your favorite bands nga "slit this" "slit that". teh cyempre ikaw nga bata gakaimpluensyahan ka man eh.

kag I'm tired of people saying real emo is rites of spring or fugazi or some other shit nga wla kabati ang kalabanan. pru come on. that was more than a decade ago. pati lang ko if amu na ginpamatian mo sang nagstart ka pamati emo. if I know naturn-on ka gid lang cguro sa emo tungod sa Dashboard Confessional or sa Typecast pru haha.. and nothings wrong with that.

so now kay ang boys like girls or ang secondhand serenade gatukar sa star fm indi na sila emo? hip hop WAS diy too. but it doesn't mean nga si Jay-Z indi na hip-hop kay big pimpin' na sa. emo is just music man bala. so dapat its irrelevant kung diin sa gatukar or DIY man da or not.

emo is probably the biggest subgenre sang rock we've seen in a while. I'm not sure.. kay rap-metal generation ko ya. so before that wala ko kabalo. but I'm sure rap metal wasn't as trendy as this. nabatian ko ang classmate ko nga daw fashionista nga lake. "indi ko ya emo, emo lang ko ya magporma". wala na ya sa samon tyempo hehe..

as I've said. sa emo nga thread. it's only a matter of time before ideny nman sang mga "too cool"
to be uso people nga emo sila. kay passe na mo. ma-metalcore na sila. screamo. post-hardcore. pop-punk. goth, discopunk, indierock, dance rock.. tanan na lang to shed off ang notion nga emo sila like its a disease. tanan man ta have done embarassing shit that we're not proud of sang bata pa ta.
just know were you stand. stand your ground. panindugan mo kung anu ka.

emo is big. it's here. it's in fashion. live with it. don't be so emo about it hahahaha

@ maladroid ahaha... sakto gid... i remembered gid sng isa ka article sa pulp. they interviewed chicoschi right after they have released their album... the pulp staff asked miggy if they are now emo, and according to the article, he was like angered by the question. haha.. he greatly denied that they are emo. he said "porke't hindi na maluwag ang damit namit eh emo na kami?" during that time they were even named as MCR look-alike. luoy ni sng mga bata nga ga bayo sa pareho sa mga banda nga idol nila... kay ang ila mismo man nga gina idolize, amo man ang ga reject sa ila... ambot nga-a ang mga banda nga tagged as "emo" daw mapatay gid kun hambalan sila nga emo sila... hahaha...

I give kudos to the dude for fighting out what he believes is right, tskato man na iya opnion about his EMO thing. It's just one music genra . It doesnt matter how you look or ano pa da nga pa emo emo imo kung waay ka sing na bal'an sa gina tawag nga emo.
