btw fyi gali, we use a custum tuning. I use A# C# G# C# F# A# D# and Mark uses A# C# G# C# F# D#

My main guitar Ibanez RGR321EX hehe! i named it Canon
the smaller brother of boss macky's RG7321 ^_^
now with dimarzio tonezone and airnorton
3 way selector w/ split coil configuration so it wound sound like H-S-H


this is my room practice guitar. it is total CRAP. and i named it CRAP
i think it has problems with intonation coz the neck got broken and i glued it back, i think it's potentiometers also have issues too. Still on Fixing Process.
now with EMG designed pickups. still "Can" sounding. ^_^

I installed dimarzio breeds on my guitar, and the neck breed pup is too hot. thinking of swapping it out with an air norton or paf pro.

i might swap my TZ to a Breed, I find my TZ to be muddy.

Anyways, i havent tried the AirNorton in a floyded RG though,
i put mine into a fixed bridge RG it sounded SWEET, WARM and THICK!.
Well.. my friend has an AirNorton, and he told me that it sounded more balanced in S470 (Floyded) than when he used to install it in his RG321 (fixed), both mahogany bodied.
I think the only way to find out is that to try it out if it suits the tone of your preference.
Changed my pups 3 times already, and still searching..hehe. i might also try EMGs or the Blackouts.

The breed bridge sounds great, in my opinion. Great harmonics, high gain, flat eq (almost like a duncan distortion trembucker). I plug straight into a marshall and I can get Vinnie Moore's tone with the breed. The neck pup though is too hot and not responsive when you try to lower gain using the volume pot. I heard the norton or paf pro does this well. the Breed neck is just too hot for a neck pickup.

Your friend's norton prorbably sounded more balanced in the S470 because of the thinner body and neck joint.

To your point, unfortunately the only way to find out is by trial and error. The more I try, the harder it is to explain these experiments to my wife.....
